NATO Summer School 2022

1 Sep 2022/PSSI

The 2022 NATO Summer School focused on the evolving dynamics of the Russian and Chinese threats. Participants had the chance to discuss a wide range of topics including economic and financial statecraft, space security, emerging threats, or cyber security.

This year's summer school took place on July 3-8, 2022, in Orlík, Czech Republic.

The one-week course, held in English, includes lectures, presentations, group discussions, and simulations led by Czech and foreign security experts – both senior policy practitioners and scholars. A retreat-type setting provides a unique networking opportunity for approximately 30-40 participants from various countries. Over the years, we have observed that this off-site venue permits round-the-clock opportunities for students to engage in discussions over breaking global developments and review the lectures/exercises in which they have participated. Visiting speakers have included senior government and NATO officials, leading NGO security policy experts, academic scholars and private sector executives.

The partners of the 2022 NATO Summer School are NATOU.S. Embassy PragueMinistry of the Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and Norwegian Embassy in Prague.
