Summary of Closed-door Roundtables


This paper is a summary of a series of closed-door expert roundtables that took place in Prague on May 31, 2016. Over 30 experts, activists and journalists from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine gathered for the event "Countering Pro-Russian Disinformation: Current Challenges and the Way Forward."

The overall aim was to assess Western preparedness and discuss various initiatives and best practices that could be used to effectively counter pro-Russian disinformation in the region. The event was organized by the Prague Security Studies Institute with support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Václav Havel Library and the Open Society Foundation.
