PSSI’s Space Security Program has just published its latest joint report with the Coalition For A Prosperous America (CPA): U.S. Investor Underwriting of Chinese Military Companies Operating in Latin America.

The publication analyzed the regional, commercial, and strategic footprints of China and Russia and their efforts to capture or compromise the space sectors of a number of Latin American countries, particularly those of Brazil, Venezuela, and Argentina. It also tracks U.S. capital flows into PLA-tied Chinese space companies via America’s capital markets and private equity funds. Finally, the report offers a number of remedial measures to break the actual or prospective strangleholds resulting from these undue dependencies on authoritarian space powers.
