Business model of platforms spreading disinformation

Platforms known to be spreading disinformation, particularly narratives and their role in the information operations of the Russian federation, have already received significant attention. Yet, tackling disinformation from a business angle has been less prominent so far, despite the fact that some Czech platforms responsible for spreading disinformation gain significant advertising revenue. The aim of this project is to apply a new perspective on disinformation research and to map the business model of platforms spreading disinformation.
