PSSI co-organized a conference on the EU-US relations
On June 11, 2009 PSSI in cooperation with the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the John Hopkins University, Centre for European Policy Studies, Real Instituto Elcano, the Atlantic Council of the United States and The Swedish Institute of International Affairs organized the international conference „Forging a Strategic US-EU Partnership“. Among the topics discussed were the transatlantic relations and the rise of BRIC countries, energy security, climate change and the assesment of the global risks by the EU and the US. The panelists included: Tomáš Pojar, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dan Hamilton, John Hopkins University; Fran Burwell of the Atlantic Council of the U.S.; Michael Dóczy, Senior Adviser of EU Policy Unit; Tom Melia, Freedom House; Igor Blaževič, People in Need etc.The conference was held under the auspices of Jan Kohout, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
