On November 22, 2008, Metropolitan University in Prague in cooperation with PSSI organized a conference on peacebuilding and peacekeeping.
The conference was one of the first events on this topic held in the Czech Republic and was focused on the Czech theoretical and practical contribution to various peacekeeping and peacebuilding operations around the world. Among the speakers were the representatives of MFA, MoD, NGOs and academia. PSSI's Executive Director Oldřich Černý, together with MUP's rector Michal Klíma opened the conference, and moderated the panel on Theory of postconflict reconstruction. PSSI's alumnus Michael H. Rosák (representing People in Need) took part in the panel entitled Practice of the postconflict reconstruction.
