The roundtable entitled "Economic Interests and the EU Neighbourhood Policy: Challenges for the Czech EU Presidency? will take place on December 6, 2008 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This event is organized by the Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI) under the auspices of Hon. Alexandr Vondra, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, in cooperation with the European Affairs Information Department of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in the framework of the preparation for the upcoming Czech EU Presidency in 2009.
The aim of the roundtable is to open a dialogue between representatives and experts of business sector and government to explore a potential of EU policies to enhance economic relations with Russia, Ukraine and other Eastern neighbours of the European Union. The event should produce jointly developed recommendations how to shape and employ available policy tools in strengthening relations with the Eastern neighbours of the European Union.
