ESPI Director Jean-Jacques Tortora Discussed Challenges for Europe’s Space Sector in His Guest Lecture

On May 15, 2019, Mr. Tortora, Director of the European Space Policy Institute, delivered a lecture entitled “European Space Policy in Global Context” to students of the Space Security Course, part of the PSSI/Charles University’s Master’s Degree Program in International Security Studies, and broader public. The lecture was hosted by the American Center in Prague. Mr. Tortora provided a historical overview of the development of space activities in Europe, including the evolving role of space-relevant institutions. In addition, he shared his views on Europe’s standing in global space activities and where Europe’s strengths may lie in the future.
