Oldrich Cerny and Jiri Schneider at the II. Energy Forum

PSSI Executive Director Oldrich Cerny and PSSI Program Director Jiri Schneider moderated two panels of the international conference.


The 2nd Energy Forum on energy security in the European Union took place in Prague on November 4th – 6th, 2007, under the auspices of Mr. Alexandr Vondra, the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic. The event was organized by Ano pro Evropu and Instytut Wschodni . The conference was divided into panels discussing topics such as guarantee of energy supply and the implications for national security, EU energy policy goals by 2020, and the possibilities for a future sustainable energy mix.  Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek was among the honorable guests, together with leading experts, government officials, green NGOs, and business representatives from all over the world.  Oldrich Cerny moderated the panel on  Central and Eastern Europe as a Transit Region and Jiri Schneider moderated the session on Sustainable and Desirable Energy Mix.
