Space Security Lectures Are Back

The first lecture of this spring's series will take place on May 6, 201918:00  at the American Center

Dr Jan Kolář, director of the Czech Space Office, will talk about the moon as the subject of new space competition.

While planet Mars was considered as a primary target for the next human mission to deep space in the first half of this decade, the Moon now takes priority in the human spaceflight programs of spacefaring countries for the next decade. Since a human mission of this scale requires resources exceeding the current budget of any single space agency, the joint effort of several countries is an indispensable requirement for the accomplishment of such endeavour. More information about his lecture is available here.
