International Conference on Clean Coal and Smart Grids

The conference “Clean Coal, Smart Grids: Possible Czech Contribution to the EU’s Energy Security” will explore the political, security, environmental and economic dimensions of the clean coal and smart grids technologies. The conference aims at reinforcing synergy among essential public and private stakeholders, enhancing the energy security of the Czech Republic through the research and development of modern technologies and exploring possible engagement of Czech actors in the European research and international development projects.
Key issues will be addressed by invited speakers, prominent government officials, diplomats, experts, and business representatives from Europe and the United States – for details see the conference program .

The conference will take place at the The Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education of Charles University – CERGE, Politickych veznu 7, Prague.

The conference will be organized by the Prague Security Studies Institute and Europeum – Institute for European Policy. It has been supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the US Embassy in Prague and the European Union (Support for organisations active at European level in the field of active European Citizenship).
